Vipers ring in the changes

SNS Port Moresby Vipers are tipped to make  changes to their team to take on SBS Mendi Muruks in their bemobile Cup game in Port Moresby on Sunday.
Attempts to to confirm this yesterday with coach Paul Komboi and manager William Bussil Jr were unsuccessful.
It is understood that Komboi will bring in his main game-breaker  Jesse Joe Parker to partner Peter Paulus at the scrumbase while Sebulon Ragi will move back to the bench.
The absence of Parker and halfback Roger Laka was noticeable last week against Toyota Mioks as the Vipers struggled to come up with an effective offence.
Parker and Laka were injured in the match against Agmark Guria at Kalabond Oval.
With Parker back on the park, Komboi will rely on his experience to lead Vipers against the competition leaders, Muruks.
Vipers fowards David Kaiabe Zachary Simbai, Bobby Mori and workaholic Sebastian Pandia should feature prominently against the Lae-based Southern Highlands team.
Komboi has brought in Colin Aruna to fullback replacing fellow Koiari, Josiah Abavu, who sustained an injury  in last week’s incident.
Centre Jonathan Wagano and forward Dick Nap, both of whom came off from the bench made an impact for the team, and hopefully, this should be enough for their call up into the starting side.
Muruks coach Stanley Hondina is counting on old warhorse Joseph Omae and Steven John to lead the Muruks pack while former dual international Wesley Benny will be the man to watch in the backline.
Hondia, who is a former Port Moresby player, should have a fair idea idea on how to handle the city side.
In the other matches, the Agmark Gurias and Mt Hagen Kuris game has been shifted to Kalabond Oval.
It is understood that PNGNRL and bemobile Cup board was not satisfied with the crowd attendance, while Lahanis will host the  Simbu Warriors in Goroka with the  Bombers playing the  Rangers at home.
