Vipers to let six players go

THE Port Moresby Vipers will play two more trials before they name their final 25-man squad at the end of the month, according to coach Leonard Tarum.
He told The National yesterday that he had trimmed the squad to 32 players after last month’s trials against Moresby South Blacks, Motu-Koita Lagatois and Mendi Muruks.
Tarum said he would drop six more players before next month’s Digicel Cup kick-off.
“We will retain the bulk of the boys from last year,” the 2013 premiership-winning coach said.
“We already know the spine and the players whom the team will be built around.
“But the squad is yet to be finalised as we still have to assess half of the players in the remaining trials.”
