Vote for leaders with high moral standards

Letters

NOWADAYS when it comes to national elections in PNG, voters consider certain things before they cast their vote for their candidate of choice.
Most times they consider policies, work experience or educational qualification of candidates before casting their votes.
Others consider reputation and moral values of a person.
For incumbent MPs, some voters look at their performance and conduct during their terms.
Voters consider service delivery, MPs’ conduct inside and outside of parliament.
Voters also vote because of their connections with candidates.
There may be other reasons as well.
I voted for the Community Development Youth and Religion and Jimi MP Wake Goi for my own reason.
Even though Goi is from upper Jimi and I am from the middle Jimi, I found something unique and morally right about him and that was why I voted for him and will continue voting for him.
He doesn’t consume alcohol, he doesn’t go to night clubs and gambling avenues, he doesn’t smoke, he doesn’t waste time, and he always keeps himself busy and is time conscious.
He is a husband to one wife and a father.
I respect a leader who has high moral standards and want to do this the right way.
