Wandi assumes acting role

DR Francis Wandi has been appointed acting manager of the Goroka Base Hospital following a meeting between government authorities and staff.
The staff had demanded for a change in the hospital management and staged a protest which forced the partial closure of the hospital.
Health and HIV/AIDS Minister Michael Malabag said Wandi would be acting in the position until November when a permanent appointment would be made.
