HEADMASTERS and teachers in Western Highlands are urged not to take alcohol into their school premises.
Superintendent for elementary and primary schools in the province Simon Sam said on Eagle FM radio on Tuesday night that some schools were encountering alcohol-related problems.
Sam said schools had their own rules and regulations and teachers and their headmasters must follow them, adding that alcohol was not allowed in school compounds.
It was known, he said, that teachers did take alcohol to school, drank there and played their music very loud.
Sam also called on teachers not to use their students to buy their betel nuts and cigarettes.
