Warrant of arrest issued

A WARRANT of arrest has been issued for the arrest of former Central administrator Gei Guni Raga for not appearing in court on three consecutive occasions.
Waigani Committal Court Magistrate Rebecca Kwayaila issued the warrant after Police Prosecutor Snr Const Peter Samghy applied for the warrant since Raga had failed to make an appearance.
His bail money of K1,000 was set aside and the warrant returnable on Nov 11.
Raga, 60, of Gamoga village in Rigo, Central, is facing four charges in relation to the misuse of K34 million belonging to the province’s LNG-impacted villages of Papa, Lealea, Boera and Porebada.
He was charged together with former Central deputy administrator Edward Kila.
