Warriors defeat Bullets

THE inclusion of three Digicel Cup players was telling for 24 Thunda Warriors who demolished Taswan Bullets 34-0 in the Gerehu Offseason Rugby League competition on Saturday.
Vipers flyer Richard Paripa scored four tries while Mioks duo Junior Bobby and Bosi Alu laid a strong foundation with their experience in the Warriors victory.
The Warriors got on the scoreboard with Bosi Alu scoring an unconverted try two minutes into the match.
Paripa scored the next three tries in the half four minutes later.
Tony Sipa, Ismael Pori and Junior Alus tried their best for the Bullets but their efforts reaped little reward meanwhile Warriors fullback Bobby crossed for a try before halftime.
The Bullets pushed hard in the second half to score points but were kept out by good defence and the fact that they had little possession.
The Warriors started their second 40 minutes with a try to Melchizedek Kare before Paripa rounded off the game with his fourth try.
Warriors coach Benjamin Kapo was satisfied with his side’s performance given it was their third straight win.
Kapo said he was pleased with the fact that his side had kept their opposition scoreless in the three matches.
He said being a newly established side in the competition they wanted to maintain a good standard and their opening wins had given them confidence and proven they could compete against the other sides.
