WAU rural local level government in the Bulolo district, Morobe, has bought a second vehicle from its royalty payments from the Hidden Valley project.

LLG president John Yawa said the vehicle, its second in two years, would enable work to continue on community projects in the area.

“So far we have bought two cars with our royalties from Hidden Valley, one 10-seater last year and this year we have an open-back vehicle, and with the timely arrival of the vehicle plans by ward councillors will be realised,” he said.

“Some projects have been halted because there was a need to transport material from Lae into the different wards such as Kimbi, Bitowe and Wau-Biaru and Tekado.”

Yawa said councillors and the LLG administration had been advised to take care of the project vehicle and use it to serve the people.

He said the Wau-Rural LLG was doing well, which reflected in it being granted 2% on top of its 5% royalty share from the Hidden Valley project.
