NATIONAL Soccer League new kids FC Morobe Wawens will face the might of the Southern Strikers at Bisini soccer grounds in Port Moresby tomorrow.
Most of the Wawens players were picked from the off-season Wawens Cup competition and will be travelling to the capital city for the first time.
After a bye, a win and a loss in the first three rounds, the newcomers have nothing to lose but want to stamp their mark in the semi-professional league.
According officials, Andrew Namuesh, there were some changes to the team that faced Buang FC in Lae last weekend.
“We want to give every player the opportunity to take part in the competition. That is the reason why we picked them to be part of the club,” Namuesh said.
He said the Wawens were set to face the Southern Strikers who would have the advantage of the home crowd behind them.
“The team will be guided by the experiences of captain Dallas Namuesh, Philip Steven, Kenneh Pilailo and Alu Awi .”
