Aviators get Lae Biscuit sponsorship

The Fiji champion NRL club, Nadi Aviators, will be playing in Port Moresby against the PNG champions Lae Snax Tigers on Feb 24.
The match is part of the annual Melanesian championship fixture where each country’s top rugby league side faces the other in a playoff for the Melanesian Cup.
The fixture is alternated between the two countries with PNG hosting the first one in 2016 and Fiji hosting last year’s fixture. The Tigers thrashed the Aviators 40-4 in Sigatoka.
The Aviators are coming with a different team now. After their match, Tigers franchise owner Ian Chow asked Aviators president Joe Gray why his team had not been more competitive as it was not the Aviators team he had watched on Youtube.
Gray told Chow that most of the players were at work and because of lack of sponsorship, they could not get their full strength team together for that match.
Based on that discussion and how the Nadi Aviators club facilitated the logistics of the Tigers tour, Chow’s cfiem — Lae Biscuit Company — agreed to help the Aviators and now the major sponsor of the team.
LBC donated FJ$20,000 (K32,000) for preparation of this upcoming tour which has now enabled the full strength and well-prepared Aviators team to make this trip.
The Tigers-Aviators game will be curtain raiser to the Hunters-Broncos trial match at the NFS
