We can live with Covid-19

Letters

SINCE the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak in mid 2019, how many of Papua New Guineans have died of it?
We are dying of preventable diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, typhoid, pneumonia and others.
Daily headlines published in the media claiming the deaths from the Covid-19 is misleading.
The Covid-19 was here and we’ve been living with it for quite a while now.
It’s not a new disease to us.
I believe Papua New Guineans are unique in some way; our immune systems are very strong and can defend us from diseases such as the Covid-19.
