We work with the governor, says PPC

 WESTERN police commander Silva Sika will work with the provincial government to address the crime situation in the province.

He told The National that he was not happy with rumours in the province that he was working alone.

“People are spreading rumours that I am not working with Governor Ati Wobiro,” Sika said.

He said he was committed to working with Wobiro.

“I am a public servant and I pledge my support to Governor Wobiro as the mandated leader of the province,” he said.

“I am here to serve him, and I have never said anything against Governor Wobiro.”

He said the law and order situation in Western was a complex issue which needed the support of the government and the community.

“I am doing my best to complement what Governor Wobiro is doing in the province.

“Let us stop all the nonsense and let’s work together,” he said.

Saki warned that he would investigate people creating and circulating the rumour.
