WESTPAC PNG bank manager Ammie Leslie has been recognised as one of the brilliant performers in the Westpac Group this year.

Leslie was one of only 110 finalists selected from Westpac Group’s 40,000-strong workforce to be nominated for a chief executive officer’s award.

The award recognises employees who distinguish themselves through their achievements, behaviours and outstanding contributions to the bank.

Westpac’s regional head for South Asia and the Pacific, Greg Pawson, said he was delighted to see Leslie recognised for her contribution to Westpac PNG’s success, and her leadership in making Westpac the leading local bank in Madang.

“This is a well-deserved recognition for Ammie, who is one of Westpac Pacific’s best performers and a wonderful role model,” he said.

“Under her leadership, Madang was the best performing branch in 2015 across all measures – customer growth, retail and commercial lending, Instore and ATM performance.

“Westpac’s ambition is to be one of the world’s great companies, helping our customers, communities and people to prosper and grow.

“Leslie works hard every day to help us achieve this ambition – be that through providing financial education in the communities or providing service to local SME and commercial customers.”
