What happened to the Maseratis?

Letters

IN preparation for 2018 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Summit, the Government, under former prime minister Peter O’Neill, bought 40 Maseratis and three Bentleys luxury vehicles to be used during the meeting. Much has been said about these luxurious cars as millions of kinas were spent and the cars are now sitting idle or maybe used somewhere else after being used for only two to three days.
People were told that these cars will be sold to recoup millions of kinas wasted on them. Those millions of kinas could have been spent on much-needed basic services and developments.
So much was spent in preparing for the summit and many of those luxurious facilities built and cars bought are sitting idle or being used by a few individuals on the expense of the people’s money.
Two of those luxury cars were said to be sold and one given to the Office of Governor-General.
Can the Government, under Prime Minister James Marape, tell the people of Papua New Guinea about the whereabouts of those cars and what they have done so far to recoup millions of kinas wasted on them?
