What’s going on, Kuli?

Letters

I REMEMBER Joe Kuli announcing after his election victory last year that he will bring his District Development Authority and his office back to Minj. It is almost two years now and we haven’t seen his promise fulfilled.
There have been several projects, celebrations, etc, near his home at Kindeng Junction, making Kindeng Junction the centre of the district and electorate.
Right now the people of Anglimp-South Waghi are at at a loss as to the whereabouts of DDA and district headquarters.
Kuli ‘s predecessor, former MP Joe Komun, had the DDA office at Kuligap for five years.
The current MP seems to be following that example.
The people of Anglimp-South Waghi don’t know, too, who the DDA CEO is, or the line programme managers or the rest of the public servants.
As an electorate, we are lost. We neither have a political representative nor a public service
machinery, particularly the people of South Waghi sub-district/electorate.
