What’s happening with Niugini Biomed Ltd?

I AM disappointed with the statement by the Covid-19 National Control Centre’s Dr Daoni Esorom that appeared in The National on Monday that PNG has submitted its interest in acquiring the vaccine through the recommendation of the National Executive Council.
Of course, Papua New Guineans will need the vaccine and you have a right to write to coalition for epidemic preparedness innovations and the World Health Organisation for an expression of interest, but what is the progress with Niugini Biomed Ltd?
Are we going to get an update on that or ignore it and focus on the vaccine that will be supplied by other countries?
Remember, nothing is free and the Government will spend millions of kina again to buy those vaccines.
