Why become dual citizen?

Letters

FOR some time now I have been thinking about challenging the dual citizenship notion.
Of course, everyone has his or her right to hold dual citizenship with justified reasons.
But do they reveal all the reasons and intentions as to why they seek dual citizenship?
Some do and others don’t.
PNG is a land of opportunities that can last only for a time.
Not forever. There will be challenging times ahead.
The country with a largely poverty-stricken population, poised to accumulate and ride on huge foreign debt, isn’t a nice place for dual citizens. Situations change, so as life.
When this happens, foreigners and Papua New Guineans alike, with dual citizenships, are free to dust off their feet and leave permanently.
They will go to the countries of origin of foreigners or countries of spouses of Papua New Guineans to presumably start better lives.
Honesty and truth are priceless treasures money cannot buy.
Dual citizens with hidden motives will be known when the time comes. This fence sitting is unpatriotic and has its downsides too.
This is a fair reasoning and I cannot be entirely wrong.
