THE country is experiencing heavy rain and strong winds but they are expected to ease from next week.
National Weather Service director Samuel Maiha said even in the middle of wet season, there were periods of dry days.
“We think we are going to enter a period of relatively dry days,” he said.
He said the country was in the monsoon season which was from December to March.
Maiha said most parts of the country were experiencing heavy rain and strong North-west winds.
He said rain will subside from Jan 7.
“In the meantime we also advise that we may go into period of slightly reduced rainfall. There will be a period of dry days before another period of rainfall comes. This system of weather will continue to the end of the month,” he said.
