This is how Port Moresby hopes to stop power poles from being broken by runaway motor vehicles. And because it is in the footpath, it might also stop a pedestrian.
This one is at East Boroko and is made of metal.
The irony is that in a move to protect the power pole, another dangerous obstacle has been put in the way of drivers who lose control of their vehicle.
