“Despite this eyesore, it is business as usual as vendors get very busy, because it’s the money that matters most,” said Supa.
Supa said local town authorities are failing to enforce public health and safety regulations, despite some of them regularly visiting the market to buy betel nut.
Wan called on the shop owner to do something.
