National Planning Minister Richard Maru says that a new bridge will be built at a cost of K10 million across the Handra River in the Numbo local level government, in East Sepik, to replace this.
The new “bridge will link about 16,000 people in this remote LLG in the Yangoru Sausia electorate,” Maru, who is also the Yangoru Sausia MP, said that materials to build the 54-metre steel decked bridge will arrive next week in Wewak.
“I will also build a new Numbo police station at Sembo village”, he said. He was speaking when he opened Numbo High School at Handra Primary School in East Sepik.
