Is this the best PM’s 13 squad ever?

Letters

The squad for the Prime Minister’s 13 rugby league fixture is said to be the best assembled in this country so far.
This claim is based on the quality of the side selected, considering their exposure to NRL, Super League and second-tier competitions.
Well, high-level experience and exposure is one thing but pride is another.
If a player does not have pride in his team, he cannot give his best.
Our local boys have proven in the recent World Cup and Pacific test matches that they can beat quality sides because of the pride in the Kumul jersey and exposure to high-level competitions.
I am not happy that the selectors persisted in bringing Alex Johnston into the squad when he had already shown that he did not want to represent Papua New Guinea.
How do you expect him to give his best when he has no heart for this country?
Please, enough of running after players who are not keen to play for this country and focus on our PNG boys.
There are many local boys are already exposed to high-level competitions.
I hope that new recruits with their experience and exposure will have that sort of pride to win matches.
