Hoping for a better tomorrow

Letters

It seems that the future of this country is getting bleak. We have more potential students outside the classrooms than we have inside the classrooms.
Only a few make it to higher institutions while most have no place up there.
If this seems like not an issue to focus on, then we are wrong. It does not matter where we focus on the development of this country. The more we neglect our human resources, the more we head nowhere.
This is not a minor issue.
The future of this country are out there crying for opportunities. What are we doing about it?
I am telling our young people roaming the streets of this country that you have to please take a second look at your life.
Just because you did not pass grade 8, 10 or 12 does not mean that it is the end of the world.
We have a long way to go.
We can do great things with our lives.
Yes, it does not matter where you came from but what matters is where you are going.
There are upgrading systems that you can go through that can help you fix your grades and get back into the education system.
Don’t give up.
You are the future of this nation.
You can’t suffer for at least 50 years from now just because you did not pass your exams. You still have a long way to go.
You have great potential inside you.
Potential is what you can do, but have not yet done. Potential is what you can be, but have not yet become.
How long will the authorities continue to turn a blind eye on our youths who have no place in higher institutions? Deciding not to do anything is already deciding to bring your country into a future that is uncertain.
Papua New Guinea will turn out better if we change our past for a better future.
