This grating on a footpath in Port Moresby was only installed in November last year – but because trucks keep on climbing the footpath to park illegally on the pavement, the grating is starting to bend and will soon break.
This is on Spring Garden Road.
China redeveloped this road last year for the Apec Summit. Illegal parking like this is putting that good work to waste.
Some major companies are situated on this road and those firms should ensure that their drivers follow the law and not park illegally.
