West New Britain is all set to roll out their cricket season which is scheduled to begin in March. A couple of players were honing their skills at the NBPOL Cricket Nets in preparation for the upcoming cricket season.
The pre-season will start of proceedings which are set to be played over one weekend on Saturday March 1 and Sunday March 2. The eason proper will commence on the following weekend, Sunday March 9, 2014. 
West New Britain Cricket Association have also advised that if there are any new and interested teams or persons willing to join the association this year, the entry is still open. The closing date for all entries will be Friday, March 21, 2014.
The association also added that this year’s games are important as the WNB Provincial championship will be held around April or June. This will be the pathway to select its team to represent Team Kimbe for the 2014 PNG Games in the Morobe Province.
