A WOMAN who allegedly hit another for calling her a “prostitute” told police she only used her fist and not a stone as claimed.
Eunice Andrew, 40, was charged with one count of assault causing grievous bodily harm on Madlyn Bosi at Faole in Erima, Port Moresby, on Jan 20.
Waigani Committal Court Magistrate Tracy Ganaii adjourned the case to March 23 and extended her K500 bail. It was alleged that a week earlier on Jan 13, Andrew and Bosi had a heated argument during which Bosi called Andrew a pamuk (prostitute).
On Jan 20, Andrew met Bosi as she was walking back from a betel nut market and allegedly held her by the hair and hit her on the right eye with what was claimed to be a stone.
“Yu tasol kolim mi pamuk ah! (You are the one who called me a prostitute)” and assaulted her.
Andrew was taken to the police station where she allegedly admitted hitting Bosi but with her fist and not a stone.
