A 32-YEAR-OLD woman was fined K150 in default 24 hours’ jail after a Lae district court found her guilty of street vending (selling in public places) on Monday.
Magistrate Jacinta Doa fined Noreen Dulex, from Humbra village in Mendi, Southern Highlands after she pleaded guilty to committing the offence.
Magistrate Jacinta made a strong statement after handling about five street vending cases in the district court,
“We all can see that the city is cleaned because there are mothers being deployed by the Lae City Authority to clean around the city,” she said.
