OFFICIALS of the Enga Searching and Recovering Women’s Association have called on people not to deal with any former executives on behalf of the association.
President Regina Lau and treasurer Julie Kusiti said the association belonged to the women of Enga and the women had spoken when they elected Lau, from Kandep district, as president.
Former president Dian Ambil was arrested and charged by police with misappropriation of K20,000.
They said in September last year, the women chose Lau as the president, with other women leaders from the five districts in Enga.
The women said Ambil did not represent the Enga Searching and Recovering Women’s Association.
They said government and business authorities should not entertain Ambil claiming to act on behalf of the association.
They said business and funds of the association would only be handled by Lau and her executives because Ambil was now an ordinary member.
