Women must wait longer

THE 2013 national women’s snooker tile has been deferred to cue off on May 30.
PNGBSA committee member Joey Chan confirmed the women’s premier event, which was scheduled to start on May 16, had been deferred.
He said the sponsor who had been backing the competition for seven years had pulled out.
“We’d like to thank them for their support and huge contribution to this sport, especially supporting women,” Chan said.
“The excitement with a new sponsor in this prestigious women’s event will continue.”
Nominations are open and registration of K150 per player closes on May 29.
Chan said the last year 38 women took part and he expected 40 this time.
