THE new Women’s Micro Bank which opened last week in Tari has been dedicated to all mothers in Hela.
Prime Minister James Marape said the Women’s Micro Bank was the key to giving financial independence to women in the province and also to help them start their own small businesses so that they could take care of their families.
Marape acknowledged his wife Racheal for her passion and support in making it possible.
“My wife has been working with women in the province to make this happen, she has also been running the financial literacy programme for women at the Hope Institute.
“This new women’s bank is dedicated to all the mothers of Hela and the Tari-Pori district. I have heard your worries for your children’s school fees, household expenditures, and I hope having a women’s micro bank will help.”
