WORK has started on a new market at Mutzing station in Markham to cater for the growing number of business activities in the district, MP Koni Iguan says.
The Government is looking into establishing and improving small to medium enterprises in the district.
“The market will cater for small to medium entreprise programmes where people would conduct trading at a central place. The site has been cleared and the market is currently under construction.”
He said Markham had the potential to build the economy because the highway ran through the district.
“The district is currently training locals on how to run small businesses. We are working on establishing district SME and build spaces for SMEs to improve programmes in the district.”
