Works minister’s intervention needed

Letters

WORKS Minister Michael Nali, can you please direct your secretary David Were to put his footnote or endorsement of our legitimate claims that were submitted many years ago?
Throughout this year, we have been fronting the Works office from 7am to 7pm.
All we got from the officers was that the secretary was yet to put his footnote. Come on!
All our claims have followed all the procedures and were signed by respective divisional/sectional managers awaiting the secretary’s footnote only.
Offices across the country will close on Thursday at noon and we all have families that we want to celebrate Christmas and New Year with.
We are humbly asking the minister to direct his secretary to ensure we receive our payment this week before close of office on Thursday.
We the people of this country humbly ask for your intervention as soon as possible.
We have been told that the money was available just awaiting payments.
Many of us left our families in our provinces and have been in Port Moresby for many years just to get our claims paid.
As far as the processes and procedures are concerned, we have followed them.
We are just waiting for the secretary. Please help us out before offices close.
The minister’s intervention will be a great Christmas gift.
