Works shows innovation

 I COMMEND Works Minister Francis Awesa and Works Secretary David Wereh for their innovative ideas and plans as reported in The National on April 7.  Their proposal to deliver standards in building construction and road networks around Papua New Guinea shows creativity and visionary leadership.  Most of the country’s road networks are in dire need of maintenance and upgrading. For instance, the Highlands Highway linking the highlands to the coast needs a standard design because it go through different topographies, climatic condition and soil structures.  The design must cater for all these conditions.
