Five pastors and 100 youths from Kompiam-Ambum in Enga are learning ministry activities and church programmes from Bethel Lutheran youths in Lae.
The youths were in Lae in an exchange programme with Bethel Parish youths.
The Gutnius Lutheran Church and Bethel youths established an exchange programme last year.
The youths are from the three church circuits of Ambum, Keralagaip and Papayuk in Enga.
GLC Keralagaip circuit president Ps Willie Kambu said they wanted to learn from Evangelical Lutheran as a big brother.
The exchange theme of the two churches was, “My day, my time, and my church”.
Bethel youths visited the church in Enga last year. Ambum youth president Jethro Elijah said they wanted to do things as a church to grow the mission work and proclaim the gospel in their time as youths of the church.
The two Lutheran churches are administered separately.
GLC was a mission area for Australia and American missionaries, while ELC’s missionaries are Germans.
