YOUTHS in Sarangwandu village, East Sepik, have chosen a new path in their lives by saying no to drugs and going to church on Sunday.
A youth leader Max Malakai uprooted more than 100 of his marijuana plants and said he was done with the life of being a drug addict and was ready to walk with Christ into the future.
“I encourage youths in Sarangwandu village, in East Sepik, and in Papua New Guinea, to come to choose Christ as their Lord and saviour as it is the only way out of our bad habits,” he said.
Malakai also shared his experience about his past life on how he nearly lost his life while smuggling marijuana from Kainantu, Eastern Highlands.
“It was by God’s grace that I was saved and now I found peace in the presence of the Lord that I want all to have,” he said.
Another youth, Daniel Nali, also said he was happy to find himself in the lord as a renewed person.
“Today, as I uproot these marijuana plants and choose life with Christ, I have seen change and want all youths to the same,” he said.
Nali said he was an addict for more than 20 years and was now ready for a change.
Life in the Spirit Ministries Pastor Temson Niambli told the youths that they had made the right decision.
