A GROUP of 120 youths from the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Port Moresby went on a three-day expedition to experience outdoor life.

They walked to the Variata Nature Park in Sogeri, Central, on August 2 and returned two days later via a 45km track used by locals as a short cut to the city.

The group comprised students, workers and youths from Sogeri.

Youth representative Phillip Nema said some of the girls had minor injuries.

“They saw the mountains, animal caves, different plants and they enjoyed the peaceful nature away from the busy life of the city,” he said.

Everyone returned safely apart from a few bruises.
