STONE’S Taekwondo Academy has started its martial arts and fitness programmes at the Jungle Gym in Tokarara, Port Moresby.
The Body Overhaul Programme will run for 12 weeks.
According to programme coordinator Master Jamuga Stone, the training will focus on 10 areas: general fitness, complete stretching routine, strength and conditioning, agility and flexibility, body toning and balance, martial arts isometrics, combat martial arts, fear factor, diet and weight loss.
The academy is targeting the age group between 45-65 years but all are welcome.
The programme aims to promote a healthier lifestyle for citizens.
The programme’s theme is “Don’t let Age Change you But Change the Way You Age.”
Master Stone has 45 years’ experience in the martial arts and fitness industry.
He is a former international martial arts fighter, former PNG Kumuls trainer and former PNG Taekwondo team coach.
Stone appealed to citizens to be wary of their health. He said the country’s human resources can drive this great nation forward economically, socially, physically and spiritually with a healthier lifestyle.
Registration has commenced on Friday and the programme started on Saturday. Stone challenged citizens to come out of their comfort zones and challenge themselves by joining the programme.
