Agencies slow in handling cases

Letters

ALLOW me space to point out the lack of urgency by responsible state agencies to investigate alleged cases of misconduct in public office.
One such case that has gone beyond eight months is the suspension of Commerce and Industry secretary (Andrew Liliura) on allegation of sexual harassment and misconduct in office.
The office of the State solicitor and the auditor-general along with the Department of Personnel Management have yet to complete their investigation within the eight months and have it presented to the National Executive Council.
It is about time the Government demands explanation from the heads of those agencies.
