Air Niugini continues to reward staff

AIR Niugini continues to recognise and award staff members who contribute good ideas towards the “smart ideas campaign”.
The campaign is part of the airline’s four pillars under its “higher altitudes” programme: reduce costs, generate more revenue, build a stronger and happier workforce and excel in customer offerings.
Four staff members from different departments were awarded om Friday for contributing their best ideas in January and May.
Others were also acknowledged for their efforts.
The winning ideas centred around tracking and monitoring of aircraft blankets, availability of external power units to the Boeing aircraft when it arrives at the terminal which adds to the fuel saver and saver fare classes for the domestic network.
Programme coordinator Tasha Tukana said: “We look forward to more entries this year and we encourage all staff members to continue contributing ideas to the programme.”
