FINANCE company MoniPlus opened its new K1.5 million office in Kokopo yesterday and plans to open one in Alotau soon.
It is located at Tammur Centre along Williams Road. The opening was attended by Governor Nakikus Konga, Gazelle MP and Police Minister Jelta Wong, administrator Wilson Matava and representatives from Government and businesshouses in the province. Managing director Gajanan Barve said the opening was another milestone for the company in its expansion drive.
“We used to serve customers from East New Britain and the region in our other offices, but now we are here so I advise them to come and see us,” he said.
“Make an appointment with our staff and they will assist you out with your financial requirements.
“We offer personal loans, term deposits, asset financing and foreign exchange. This office will be manned by 10 staff and will be opened from 8am-5pm daily.”
Barve said they had offices in Port Moresby, Mt Hagen, Lae and now Kokopo. “We will open another office in Alotau in a very short time,” he said.
Barve said they aimed to bring their services to many clients, including the “unbanked population”.
Clients who visited the facility yesterday were impressed with the level of work put into constructing the office.
