Amini, Ura score centuries in Australia

TWO young Papua New Guinean cricketers under the Brian Bell Future Stars Scholarship based in Melbourne scored centuries for their respective cricket clubs over the weekend in Melbourne.
The duo, Chris Amini, 26, and Tony Ura, 19, both displayed outstanding performances with Amini scoring 117 not out for the Airport West St Christopher’s Cricket Club in the Premier grade of the Victorian Turf Cricket Association, while Ura scored 122 for the Coles Cricket Club’s first eleven.
Ura had shown great form with the bat scoring 48 and 49 in his two previous hits since returning from the U19 World Cup before hitting his first century on the weekend.
Chris Amini is Airport West’s most consistent run scorer and has excelled in his first season at the club with an average of more than 60.
John Boge Reva and Vagi Oala, also play for Airport West St Christopher’s and Coles Sharks Cricket Club respectively on Sundays as U21 players and have also made valuable contributions in the past couple of weeks.
Reva took 5/18 and 3/18 and made 29 and 29 runs over the past two weekends while Oala made 63 runs and took 1/14.
