Appoint Wabag GH CEO

Letters, Normal

I WOULD like to express my concern over the Wabag General Hospital.
It is slowly deteriorating as there is no one to manage the hospital’s affairs because of the court battle between the current acting chief executive officer Salan Ere and former CEO Dr Candy Lombange.
Doctors and nurses are leaving and the people of Enga, especially the patients, are suffering.
Patient care should be the paramount concern but it is not the case here.
The current administration is turning a blind eye on them.
I know the Wabag General Hospital board has shortlisted three candidates and the list is now with the Public Services Commission (PSC).
I urge the PSC and the National Department of Health to speed up the process in appointing a new CEO.
Do not keep the people suffering.
