POLICE in East New Britain (ENB) have arrested two men while they were allegedly in the process of packing marijuana to be sold.
ENB police commander Snr Insp Joseph Tabali said Nick Jacob, 37, of Bitngit village in Finschhafen and Rex Henry Kuas, 50, of Ulon village, Karkar Island, Madang, were charged with cultivating marijuana and in possession of marijuana plants on Monday.

Snr Insp Tabali told The National in Kokopo that police nabbed the two while they were allegedly making K2 packs of marijuana in the Inland Baining local level government (LLG) area of Gazelle on Monday.
He said police confiscated two large lollipop containers with 96 packs, three peanut butter containers of marijuana seeds and three containers of unwrapped marijuana.
“There were two gardens of marijuana plants and 56 marijuana plants were uprooted at Jacob’s garden, while 86 marijuana plants were uprooted at Kuas’ garden,” Snr Insp Tabali said.
He said 146 matured marijuana plants were uprooted.
