THE Port Moresby Soccer Association (PMSA) has decided to penalise clubs who have yet to settle their outstanding fees.
Acting president Joseph Ealedona said the deadline for payments is Monday.
“Clubs must understand that we are running a Fifa-sanctioned competition and all the laws and bylaws of football apply,’’ Ealedona said. “The payment of fees to be part of the competition is the law and must be applied.’’
The penalties include:

  • Clubs that do not pay by the deadline face relegation;
  • clubs that are in the top three that do not pay in full will have their awards forfeited and the top two will not be promoted;
  • PMSA will consider the future of clubs in the 2020 competition if they fail to pay and serious consideration will be given to clubs that are serial defaulters. This includes the sanctioning of the club executives; and,
  • Clubs that are in the top three and have paid in full will be given their awards accordingly.
