Being successful

Letters

The eagerness to be successful in either career or life is a natural feeling almost everyone has.
Each and every one of us wants to see certain positive results in what we do that satisfies our whole being.
Therefore, we are carried away to miles and high place by our wishes and dreams in life many times.
To fulfil these wishes and dreams, we cultivate the land, go to school, start a business and go to church.
In all these activities, we want to see abundance of garden produce, graduate with higher certificate, make lots of profit and manage a multi-million kina company, and become spiritually rich in our lives respectively.
If you are non-smoker and non-gambler in a family full of smokers and gamblers, that is a success.
If you have escaped a car accident, then it’s a success.
Women in remote villages weaving colourful bilums within a week to be sold for cash are a success.
What aspect of life and what level you are or will become successful doesn’t matter.
What matters most is whether you are or will be holistically successful and how long you will stay successful.
