Blackouts in Goroka

Letters

GOROKA has been experiencing constant power blackouts in recent months.
This has affected many people in business.
Village people who are taxpayers are being affected.
As a result of this, many people have lost electrical appliances.
It is assumed that bamboo growing near the University of Goroka is causing inconveniences to the power supply.
Why is PNG Power having sympathy for this bamboo?
They are a state entity and supposed to use police and send in a grader to remove the problem bamboo.
Who is responsible to fix this issue?
There is not even a single notice explaining this problem to the general public.
Food in refrigerators has gone bad too, affecting people’s health and wellbeing.
Is this ignorance at its best?
