PAPUA New Guinea international Watson Boas arrived in the United Kingdom (UK) on Tuesday and will spend five days in isolation before joining Doncaster next week ahead of their Betfred League One season opener.
The halfback is expected to take the field next weekend in Doncaster’s first match against the Keighley Cougars on May 9.
Boas told The National yesterday that he was raring to go, having played with the SP Hunters in the Queensland Intrust Super Cup for the last five weeks.
“It was a long trip from Australia to the UK, but I arrived safely,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to joining the squad after self-isolating.
“Next week, I’ll start training with the squad before the game on the weekend.
“I’m in a better place, fitness-wise.”
