Boroko’s problems

Letters

QUICK action is needed to curb lawlessness and behaviour that is unbecoming at a location a stone’s throw away from Boroko Police Station, in Port Moresby.
The place I am referring to is between Boroko market and Marie Stopes clinic and the surrounding areas of both the old and new bus stops of route 9 buses.
This also include the areas under the big fig tree near the main drain and along the road near the Boroko horse race outlet.
Thugs, prostitutes and homeless people congregate here day and night, making the place an eyesore with activities as pick-pocketing, betel nut and smoke sales, and taking a shower and doing laundry from a leaking Eda Ranu hose.
This is done in full public view.
The authorities should intervene and clean up this place.
