The Bowling Jacks won the Lae snooker mixed fours beating the Labu Waves 3-0 in the grand final on Saturday night at Aviat Social Club.
The mixed fours competition sponsored by Labu Holdings saw nine teams taking part.
The Papuan Blacks and Pocket Rockets finished equal third while Labu Waves took out the minor premier’s title.
Bowling Jacks beaten two times in the normal competition round by Labu Waves wasted no time as captain and Team Morobe player John Magino set the pace for his side in first set.
Magino took on the Waves’ Jonathan Cavanagh winning the first frame in the best of three series.
At the start of the second frame the match went down to the wire with Magino winning the frame leaving Cavanagh with four balls.
In the second set Jacks’ Nicole Monmai continued where her captain left off winning the ladies single two frames to one over Waves Esther Auri.
Monmai put her side in front 2-0.  The match intensified as Anis bounce back to equalise 1-1 by winning the second frame but Jacks continue to lead to claim the title.
