MP: Don’t start bushfires
Unggai-Bena MP Benny Allan has warned people not to start bushfires. “If you want to make gardens and set fire, I want you to make fire breakers before you set fire so the fire does not spread to other areas,” Allan said. He issued the warning when he hosted Minister for Environment Conversation and Climate Change Wera Mori during the launch of tree-planting in Bena on Wednesday.

K151,000 for Aust fire victims
THE Morobe Support for Australian bush fire appeal presented K151,000 to Lae Huon Gulf Rotary to facilitate funds on behalf of the group to victims at Eden Monaro in Southern New South Wales in Australia. During the presentation on Thursday, chairman Sheila Harou said the committee wase able to raise over 30 per cent of their target.
